A Touch of Red

Another attempt at doing glass. I tried more reds in the background, but just left the three little spots.

Fruit Cocktail 2

This is actually the first one I did, but it had a white and gray background, and it just would not
show up, so i reworked the whole thing. I tried to find brighter reds, and changed the background to black, to try to get some contrast. The umbrella was blue and it just wouldn't show up either.

Fruit Cocktail

I am getting ready to go to Tyler to teach a 2 day workshop, and this is what I think I will demo.
I wanted to try to figure out how to get the glass 'look'.
We don't drink, so I had to make this a fruit drink.

Just Be yourself

I love zebras, and enjoy painting them, so thought I would try a torn paper collage...
I think it needs a little tweaking but will decide in a couple days if I want to change anything.
As I was doing this I was thinking of the people in this world who want to copy others, and not be themselves..thus the name. She has different stripes, eyes, etc. So she can just be herself!

Caviar Chef - torn paper collage

12 x 12 torn paper collage on canvas done today at Suzy's class held at my studio. From his Hershey's hair to his caviar on crackers coat buttons, to his Denali/Yukon headlights for eyes, I think he is too cute! Suz has suggested I add a tiny white bit to his headlight eyes.
What do you think? Y'all missed a great class, good food, and companionship.

After Dinner Surprise

 After Dinner Surprise!
8x10
This name fits us around here...If there is any pie...it is definitely a surprise!
I started this at the workshop in Plains, and just couldn't get back to it, because our art show was starting.
Then I was gone the next week.  Finally, yesterday, I got to finish it. It felt so good to be back in the groove, in my art room. I hope to get some drawings done soon. Have a workshop this Saturday in Big Spring, so will be getting that together the rest of this week.
