Over the weekend I did this one, watercolor on 20x30 Strathmore 500 plate heavy wt. illustration board, drawn with Magic colored pencil and Daniel Smith paints.  Total time about 2 hours, 25 minutes including sketching time.

Feline Groovy

12x9 watercolor on Strathmore 140 lb cold press paper over loose abstract underpainting.  After that dried I drew my cat Chuy relaxing and feline groovy on his colorful pillows, keeping the underpainting showing within the cat.  Meow!

Just Be yourself

I love zebras, and enjoy painting them, so thought I would try a torn paper collage...
I think it needs a little tweaking but will decide in a couple days if I want to change anything.
As I was doing this I was thinking of the people in this world who want to copy others, and not be themselves..thus the name. She has different stripes, eyes, etc. So she can just be herself!

Original BEFORE version of Got Milk?

Here's the original painting 22x15 half sheet in all its horrible glory.  I took an ordinary photo of 3 cats then added arbitrary shapes of pure color with some intertwining on top of cat shapes  Just too awful! So I cropped 5 inches off its bottom half then added white latex acrylic in an attempt to soften them a bit.  I did sell this one after framing it in wide silver wood molding and double matting it in black and gray.
